Read and respond to Hendrickson’s essay ("MTV Mike"). Examine which character traits MTV has inspired in Mike and also how he balances his descriptions of MTV shows with his discussion of their impact on his character. How would you describe Mike’s writing style? What sorts of language does he use to convey his subject to the reader? How does this language reflect his subject matter?
