Journal 1- Travis Weddle

One of the first movies I can recall watching quite frequently as I was growing up was the Goonies. Ever since I first saw it around the age of 6 or so, I have been fascinated with it. This movie has the plot every kid dreams about: a group of friends find a treasure map and solve a number of booby traps to ultimately find a shipload of treasure. I wanted to be a Goonie so bad when I first saw this movie, I would have even been Chunk if I would have to have been. You can't forget about Chunk's friend too, the cool mutant guy who likes candy bars. Unfortunately the movie has started to get less and less interesting as I get older. However, the fact is that I realize that I have watched this movie so many times throughout my life because it reminds me of my childhood and even though I never had as an exciting story to tell as the Goonies did, I still had fun and cherish every moment of my early years of life.
