Journal 1

Nintendo was introduced to my house hold after a heated battle between brother and sister. The winner became a proud owner of the old school Super Nintendo. I was the lucky winner of this battle, and my older brother had to deal with the fact that his little sister had beaten him out of a Nintendo. Of course after a few months the Nintendo being in my possession we moved it to the family room where my brother and I continued to battle it out. Whether it was Super Mario Brothers, Mario Kart, or Donkey Kong we went head to head to battle to be the best. Over time I found that I didn’t really care for what video game we played, I just cared that my brother still didn’t mind playing a good game of Mario Kart with his little sister. Of course technology has changed, and with time the graphics have improved. New game systems come out every year normally slimmer and better then the previous. However, no matter how much technology improves it can’t change the bond my brother and I share. To this day every Thanksgiving I’d bring the Nintendo out and we’d go back to being little kids battling to be the best. Thanks to an old Super Nintendo our bond continues to grow and I’m thankful for that.
